Three men gang-raped 35-year old blind woman accused fled from the spot. The suspects took the victim to a house where they raped her.

The accused deceived the blind girl by telling her that they would help her.

Accused Khalid, Younis and Saleem took the woman to a house where they raped her Layyah Punjab province Pakistan.

Woman also suffered an acid attack 12 years ago due to which she lost her sight and also left her face burnt.

After the incident, accused fled from the spot, while police has filed case against Khalid, Younis and Saleem.

However, accused still not detained. Police conducting raids to arrest the accused.

Police registered case against three accused who allegedly raped a blind girl in Layyah’s Sultan Kot area.

According to police, the accused deceived the blind girl by telling her that they would help her.

The suspects then took the victim to a house where they raped her.

The victim woman later informed the police about the incident.

Following which a case registered against the three accused in Sultan Kot police station.

Police started a search for the suspects.

In 2001, a relative had tried to rape the girl and upon her resistance, threw acid on her which rendering her blind.

The man responsible for the acid attack has been convicted to 14 years in prison.

Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shehbaz Sharif on has taken notice of blind woman’s rape in Layyah.

And summoned report from District Police Officer (DPO) as early as possible.

She was abandoned at a deserted location.

Locals of the area gathered upon hearing her cries and took her to Kot Sultan police station.

CM Punjab ordered immediate arrest of the culprits and directed to submit report.

He also pledged support with the victim and her family and assured justice to them.
