An Indian Army spokesperson did not say that the soldier beheaded – an extremely sensitive issue.

The beheading of Indian soldier in January 2013 is believed to triggered a raid across the border by Indian forces a few months later.

Tonight, the army spokesperson said the soldier’s body “mutilated in a barbaric act” and added:

“The incident will responded to appropriately.”

“One soldier martyred and one terrorist killed.

The terrorists mutilated the body of the jawan before fleeing back into Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Under the cover of firing by the Pakistani army,” the army spokesperson said.

He said the incident reflected the barbarism pervading official and unofficial organisations in Pakistan.

In 2013, Pakistani soldiers crossed the line of control and attacked a patrol party, killing two soldiers and mutilating the bodies.

One of the soldiers also beheaded.

The Pakistan army, however, said the claims were propaganda.

“Indian claims of killing any Pakistani soldier at the working boundary is absolutely baseless and untrue,” the Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

Pakistan’s foreign ministry said six people killed and 22 wounded in Indian firing on Thursday.
